The Cope Scholar Award recognizes contributions to organic chemistry and includes a $40,000 grant for a university or research institute of the professor鈥檚 choice, along with a $5,000 prize.
The is centered around the study of unique chemical structures and their application to reaction design, catalysis and synthesis. Among other honors, Lambert has received the Abbott Young Investigator Award, an NSF CAREER Award, an Alfred P. Sloan Research fellowship and an Eli Lilly Grantee Award.
The is involved with research on synthetic electrochemistry, and expands the scope and application of electrochemical systems, according to Lin. He is also an associate editor for , on organic chemistry.
鈥淭his award recognizes the collective efforts of both current and former members of the Lin lab in the past seven years and inspires us to continue our pursuit of innovative and impactful research at the intersection of electrochemistry and organic synthesis,鈥 Lin said.
Lin also received a 2022 Green Chemistry Challenge Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for his contributions to environmentally sustainable chemical development. In 2021, he received the National Fresenius Award from Phi Lambda Upsilon, the national chemistry honor society. He became an Alfred P. Sloan Fellow in 2019 and received the National Science Foundation鈥檚 Career Award in 2018.
