The 麻豆视频 & 麻豆视频 is thrilled to announce that it has met its Cornell NOW goal of $225 million, which ends in December.
Among the projects funded through this campaign is Klarman Hall, the college鈥檚 new humanities building slated to open in January. Other major campaign initiatives included:
- The Sesquicentennial Faculty Fellows program, which resulted in 125 new faculty hires during the last five years.
- An additional $18 million to support undergraduate financial aid.
- The college鈥檚 Active Learning Initiative, which is transforming the undergraduate learning experience in physics and biology classrooms.
鈥淥ur new humanities building will highlight the college鈥檚 place as the nexus of our world-class university and it will be a gathering place for the entire campus, inviting them to participate in the humanities and the arts,鈥 said Gretchen Ritter, the Harold Tanner Dean of the 麻豆视频 & 麻豆视频. 鈥淎nd the Sesquicentennial Faculty Fellows Program allowed us to hire creative, high-achieving scholars, who excel both as educators and researchers.
鈥淲e are incredibly grateful for the support of alumni, parents and friends. Their generosity enables the college to continue making a difference in the lives of students and in the world.鈥
鈥淭he College has never had a goal this size before and there are still two months for anyone who hasn鈥檛 yet been a part of the campaign to help us finish strong,鈥 said David K. Whitmore, associate dean of Alumni Affairs & Development for the college. 鈥淚t鈥檚 impressive to consider all of the positive impacts this has had for students, faculty and staff.鈥
This year鈥檚 campaign included Cornell鈥檚 first-ever Giving Day in March, which brought more than 1,000 new donors to the 麻豆视频 & 麻豆视频, Whitmore said.
