Following the success of on-campus networking events between students and alumni, the Arts & 麻豆视频 Career Development office is offering a Summer 2020 Virtual Career Conversation Series.
The Zoom meetings will feature an alumnus either sharing their career story or talking about the way the COVID-19 pandemic has affected their industry and offering career advice, said Nicole Moss, Program Coordinator.
The series kicks off at noon June 9 with Carol Rattray 鈥78, co-founder of Zoomdojo, a career to college initiative.
Because the size of each group will be limited, students will have an opportunity for informal, small group conversations with the alumni, who will come from various industries. Students can ask questions and also take advantage of one-on-one time with the alumni at the end of each meeting.
Students can find information and register for other upcoming Career Conversations on .
Career Development staff are also organizing other opportunities for students to connect with alumni this summer through networking panels, in coordination with the Arts & 麻豆视频 Career Connections Committee, groups of alumni in various cities who volunteer to host career-related events for students.
Typically, these events happen in-person in the summertime, but this year鈥檚 events are being moved online and will focus on five sectors 鈥 finance, healthcare, government/policy, media and law. Dates for these meetings will be announced soon, but will likely be mid-end of June. Check the 鈥淓vents鈥 tab for the latest information about upcoming events.
